Kosciusko County Court Dockets

Kosciusko County court records in Indiana are available through several channels. KosciuskoCourt.us allows you to search for publicly accessible information about court cases in the county. Additionally, records can be found through the state's official system MyCase, directly at the clerk's office, or at public terminals in the courthouse in Warsaw.

Kosciusko Court System & Jurisdictions

Several courts operate in Kosciusko County, each handling specific categories of cases. The county is part of the 5th Judicial District of Indiana along with Elkhart and Marshall counties.

Kosciusko Circuit Court is a court of general jurisdiction. It handles criminal felony cases, civil lawsuits involving large sums, probate cases (the legal process of settling a deceased person's estate), as well as guardianship and adoption cases.

In addition to the Circuit Court, the county has Superior Courts. These courts take on a significant portion of the workload:

  • Criminal cases — misdemeanors and certain felonies
  • Civil cases, including small claims (up to $10,000)
  • Family cases — divorces, child custody, child support
  • Traffic violations and infractions

The Clerk of the Circuit and Superior Courts maintains official records for all trial courts in the county, collects court fees, issues marriage licenses, and distributes child support payments. If you're unsure which court to contact, call the clerk's office for guidance.

Kosciusko Court Calendar & Upcoming Hearings

To find out the date and time of an upcoming hearing, use one of the two main tools.

  1. MyCase — the statewide search system allows you to find a case by party name or case number. The case card usually displays the next scheduled hearing date.
  2. County Public Records Page — on the Public Records portal, you can view a list of courts, calendar, and detailed case information. Records start from October 1, 1993.

The Court Information page on the county's official website lists holidays when courts and the clerk's office are closed, as well as links to court forms. If you have questions about juries or a specific hearing date, contact the court directly.

How to Get a Copy of a Kosciusko Court Document
